Emotional Intelligence for teens

We Bring Development to You!

The eq-Aware approach is designed to help teenagers develop their emotional intelligence by focusing on intrapersonal, interpersonal, and adaptability dimensions.

Development takes place through interactive coaching and communication, leveraging both technology and social media.

Our approach uses a self-reporting assessment and connects principles to specific behaviors and common conditions.

We support parents and guardians to participate as a vital component in the development of a teenagers emotional intelligence.

Assessment

The online eq-Aware Assessment© measures 12 emotional intelligence competencies. It is a 'self-report' that is the foundation for the feedback and the development plan. The assessment contains 72 multiple choice questions and generally takes 15-20 minutes to complete.

Work Plan

The work plan is the development process that starts with the high impact emotional intelligence competency.

Active Coaching

Active coaching is a process that engages parents and teens through online Competency Builders and development exercises delivered remotely (eq-Aware Dashboard, email, text, social media).

Review & Reinforcement

We review learning objectives, the impact on behaviors and reinforce development through work plan exercises.

Evaluation

The evaluation process has three objectives:

  • the teenager understands the competency,
  • they are practicing the development of that competency, and
  • positive results happening because of their development.
